At the request of some of the national initiatives for sustainable palm oil, we will organize a linking and learning session on how to best handle social media as well as regular media to deal with fake news and misconceptions or misreporting related to palm oil in food.
The Spanish Foundation for sustainable Palm Oil, currently dealing with many misconceptions on palm oil in Europe, kindly offered their support to help organize the linking and learning session in Madrid on the 28th June.
– Olivier Ramme, a former jounalist now engaged at FONAP will help us in providing a better view and the context of a journalist.
– The communication agency working for the Spanish foundation will support the social media aspects and how to best deal with fake news online.
The meeting in Madrid aims to give a different perspective and mindset and will provide experience on palm oil communication challenges within a different country and culture.
