On the occasion of the Third Palm Oil Congress “Productivity: the key to sustainability and profitability of the palm grower sector”, that was held on October 3 in Antigua, Guatemala, GREPALMA, in its function of representing the palm oil sector in Guatemala, signed a Public Declaration of the Voluntary Commitment for Zero Deforestation, through which they reiterate the commitment not to deforest natural forest for oil palm plantations and continue investing in environmental conservation and reforestation projects.
GREPALMA will support dialogue and provide technical support between government institutions, private organizations and science so that they are part of the implementation and monitoring, reaffirming their commitment not only with sustainability, but also with transparency.
